Home Page Design for Size?

After hearing that Size? A major high street store is looking into changing its online presence I decided to gather inspiration and design a home page concept for the high street store retailer. Laying out my inspiration for colour, page layout, background textures and images on mood boards using KeyNote, an idea for the Home Page began to form in my mind.

Main Image

Using a number of textures and laying one on to another I began to design a main image for the home page, an image that would capture the attention of the viewer and which would also show off my skills in programmes such as Pixelmator and Photoshop. Using the image that springs to mind when thinking of the retail store, I chose an image of a trainer, which I then layered different textures and effects on to each other to create this unique image that I would use for the main image on the home page.

Home Page

Using different textures and the brand colours I have designed a unique home page that tells the viewer about the retail store, its brands and what products can be found in the full website once it is online. The website is striking if a little challenging to develop but one of my many passions is design and pushing the boundaries of the normal.
